Cultivating Mental Wellness

Cultivating Mental Wellness is an inclusive community that encourages growth and healing through self-care. We would like to shape the way you understand, acquire and experience services that make you feel your best. We want to foster a safe space where everyone can feel secure and show up as their authentic self. Our staff is non-judgmental, compassionate and professional.

Cultivating Mental Wellness was created to normalize self-care and therapeutic services in the Caribbean and African American community. Maisha Campbell, LCSW will offer holistic psychotherapy as the first of many services this company will provide. Psychotherapy will be provided virtually. In the future, Cultivating Mental Wellness will partner with other individuals or organizations who offer boutique services to enhance the self-care experience. We want luxury self-care to be more accessible to everyone, especially BIPOC and residents of marginalized neighborhoods such as the Bronx.

FAQs

What are your waiting times like?

We are currently accepting new clients. Once we are filled to capacity we will have a waitlist for any openings. We will also make referrals when necessary.

Why do you offer a sliding scale?

I believe therapy should be accessible to the community we service. A sliding scale ensures we offer affordable services to those who need it. I accept clients via Open Path and Loveland vouchers.

What is your fee and do you acccept medical insurance?

Please email to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation. Each individual session is $200 for approximately 50 minutes. A sliding scale is also available. We do accept medical insurance through the Alma directory. We also offer super bills to be provided to your insurance company for out of network mental health services.

How often do we meet?

It is recommended to meet on a weekly basis. This is something we can further discuss in your session.

Do you currently offer clinical supervision?

Yes, we do offer clinical supervision. Individual supervision is $150 per session and group supervision (2 or more from the same agency) is $75 per person per session.

Will the company offer in person sessions?

Due to safety precautions, all services will be conducted virtually. We would love to meet every one in person but we are following New York State COVID-19 guidelines.
